Bookend 3An important specimen from the late Mr Henry Bottomly’s collection, and believed to have been used as a bookend in his study. It was thought to have been lost to science for some eighty years or more, but then came to light a few years ago when work was being undertaken at the Fellows’ Library at the Royal Society.

Bookend 2 A fine and most unusual specimen, this will grace the bookshelves of any scholar of the natural sciences, and is guaranteed be an object of great interest as well as performing a jolly useful service.

The bookend ammonite stands 170mm high.
