Why should only the great national galleries and the private collections of the wealthy be home to the great masters? This question has been fundamental to art collectors for many years. One of the main reasons is of course size. Money as well, but size does matter. To address this conundrum, Mr Ian Mitchell, a graduate of a very famous art college, borrowed inspiration from the great masters of the past and married it with an iconic household object, and he now presents for collectors with limited wallspace the perfect solution: Great Art in a match box.
This is art you can carry about, and now that smoking is not allowed in any civilized society, one can take out this dear little container, open it up, and get a puff of culture. By doing so you demonstrate to the world that you are not a sad git dying for a smoke, but one of a cultured elite, who just knows this piece of art will amaze and astound all who look at it, and will probably be worth thousands in millennia to come.
This will be an important series of great art in a match box. There will only be 50 of each design and the box will be individually numbered. The box measures 75mm by 40mm by 12mm.
First in the series was Constable’s Haywain.
This is now joined by Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper![]()
A montage of images by Vincent Van Gogh![]()
And our homage to the work of Jackson Pollock.![]()
