Vintage large plaster anatomical model heart

Large vintage plaster anatomical model of a heart.

This came with a collection of items from a Russian medical school. It is a large plaster based model that measures 20cm tall and 14cm across. Part of the heart wall lifts off to expose the right atrium and both ventricles. This piece is held in place with a wire loop and eye. The exposed ventricles show the valves with associated muscles and even the chordae tendineae. 

As this has come from a medical school, it is not surprising that it has had a bit of damage over the years. There are some areas (see photos) where the painted surface has chipped away exposing the plaster underneath.
