Antique articulated real human spine and sacrum showing sacralisation with stand.

£395.00

This is a superb and very unusual item. A real human medically prepared and articulated spine complete with the sacrum and showing sacralisation where the L5 vertebra has partially fused with the sacrum.

This specimen came from a  medical school and judging by the colour and patina, this is a very early 20th Century specimen. The vertebrae have all been mounted on a brass rod with spacers representing the intervertebral discs. The rod that the spine is mounted on has a threaded top with a loop to hand the spine from. This also has an old mount with a ceramic base and a telescopic brass hanger. There is a chip out of the base.

Considering the age of this specimen, the spine is still in excellent condition.
