This is the mounted and articulated spine, scapulae, clavicle, sternum, pelvis, sacrum and the ribs from what would have been a full human articulated skeleton. Judging by the brass fittings, and materials, I would place this as being early to mid-20th Century skeleton.

The cartilage of the rib cage and the vertebral discs have been made from a fibrous substance which has become a bit discoloured over the years although the darker colour does look more realistic. The threaded brass bolts are visible on the pelvis from where it is attached to the sacrum and spine. Interestingly, the sacrum still has the bones of the coccyx attached. There are still wire loops visible on the scapulae which would have been where the articulated arms would have attached to the skeleton. Interestingly, with full articulated skeletons, there are usually holes in the acetabulum of the pelvis where there would have been a bolt to hole the femurs of the legs in place. In this skeleton, there are no holes which suggests that it never had legs attached.

There are a few damaged ribs as can be seen in the photos. You can also see that the fibrous material that was used to create the cartilage has become loose and started to unwrap in a few places.  The bones have a nice deep colour and patina which shows that they have had a lot of handling and use.
